I founded Elemental Tech Consulting after more than 15 years working across operational systems, platform governance, cybersecurity, and business technology environments.
My career has been built inside complex, multi-site organisations where technology sits at the centre of day-to-day operations. Over the years, I have worked across cloud platforms, operational systems, cybersecurity, identity governance, and platform leadership, often stepping into environments where businesses had grown quickly, systems had evolved rapidly, and operational structure hadn't quite kept pace.
I became known for bringing clarity to complexity. Untangling fragmented processes. Creating operational structure. Stabilising platforms. Translating technical risk into business language leadership teams could actually work with.
Over time, one pattern became impossible to ignore.
The gap growth creates
Most businesses do not struggle because they lack technology. They struggle because growth creates complexity faster than governance can keep up. New systems get introduced. Processes evolve informally. Knowledge lives in people's heads. Security becomes reactive instead of intentional.
Everything works, until it doesn't.
Then suddenly there's a compliance review, an insurer questionnaire, a security incident, or leadership asking questions nobody can confidently answer.
That gap is what led me to create Elemental Tech Consulting.
A different kind of consultancy
I wanted to build a consultancy that approached cybersecurity and governance differently. Less fear-based. Less corporate theatre. More practical structure, operational clarity, and strategic guidance that businesses can actually use.
Elemental focuses on governance maturity, operational risk reduction, compliance readiness, policy frameworks, and helping businesses create environments that are secure, sustainable, and easier to operate as they grow.
The consulting model is intentionally straightforward: fixed-scope engagements, clear outcomes, and practical advice without unnecessary complexity.
What comes next
Alongside consulting, I will also be writing about cybersecurity governance, systems thinking, operational risk, AI governance, leadership, and the hidden complexity sitting underneath modern business operations.
And somewhere between governance frameworks, operational risk discussions, cybersecurity strategy, and systems thinking, there will probably also be coffee, late-night overanalysing of workflows, and occasional commentary about why one small undocumented process can somehow bring an entire business to chaos.
Welcome to Elemental.
